Weekend Project

There is expression that "good fences make great neighbors". Must be that the fence on the northern part of our property is HORRIBLE, because if the aforementioned is true, it only follows suit that the INVERSE is also true. Such is the case with our neighbors Mr. and Mrs. Rich. I won't go into the long details about our past experience with them (last year?). Suffice it to say that TONIGHT their true colours shone through again. We have had old sailing lines up around our yard to keep kids off of a hill while it dries. I had looped the line around 2 of their decrepit fence posts to mark one of the boundaries. We had been home ALL DAY (again), and the lines have been there for +/- 3 weeks. Tonight when we got home from dinner, for which we had been gone about 1.5 hours, the line had been tossed from their posts and into our yard. COWARDS!!!!! They have a habit of waiting until no-one is around before they do such things rather than simply knock on our door, or even talk with us across the fence. Heck, Tracey and I were out side from about 11 on, and Bryce and I had been out there since around 930. Egads. I can't WAIT until their dog comes onto our property. I think that I shall file a complaint with the police. Wait, they ARE the police.......and so it goes, and so it goes!
We also started (and darned near finished) putting up the required fence across the back portion of our property. Here is a picture of it under construction. I will take a finished photo tomorrow and try to post it soon. OH YEA....Keep in mind that my phone, for SOME REASON, reverses every picture. So this one is backwards. Ugh.

April Fool!!!!

Awry. That's how i can describe the events of last week. Not really. Things went just fine! Kathy had me on my toes all week, just WAITING for something to happen. And it did. Way funny, and a good time was had by all. I will try to figure out how to put a series of photos up here rather than just one. In the mean time, here is what my truck looked like when i went out to "move it so that maintenance can plow the parking lot." yea. i JUST ABOUT fell for it.......

Sneak Peeeeeek!!!!

At great personal risk, i present to you a preview of the newspaper announcement that will soon be in our local papers!!!!
And so it goes.........

Hi, my name is Bryce Allan Soboleski. I turned one year old on March 30th. I live in Hartford with my Mommy, Tracey (Eldredge), Daddy, Gene, and my two older brothers Michael Eldredge and Zachary Geissler.

I am one very lucky boy because I have a set of Great-Grandparents Glenn and Shirley Eldredge of Stockbridge, a Great Grandmother Anita MacCaffrey in North Carolina, and another Great Grandmother Eleanor Soboleski in Florida. My Babci and Dziadziu (Donna and Gene Soboleski) came all the way from Florida to see me! Many hugs, kisses, and thank-yous to my Mimi, Poppi, Uncle Wogs, Auntie Krissy, Auntie Lynette, and cousins Cameron and Tyler. A special hello to my Uncle Colby and Auntie Boo in Maryland. I love you all so very much!!

The world may never be the same.....but then, that's the point, right?

After much consternation and several late night conversations, Bryce's 1st Birthday went off beautifully!!! Kudos (again) to my wonderful wife for such a fantastic day! Both sets of Grand Parent's were here, as well as aunts and uncles from as far away as FLETCHA! GREAT Grammie and Grampa were here to enjoy the party, too. what a great day. Weather was wonderful, little-ens played outside almost all day, and even Mike got involved. Wonderful.
In the morning, while the rest of the house was prepping for the fete, Weeb and BH fixed the roof for our deck. A great time was had by all, up there on the roof. Used the Tacoma parked in the front yard as a belay anchor. What fun! No one took any pictures, though. Bummer.
We do have, however, pictures from the party. About a gazillion, give or take a billion. Will post some as soon as I figure out how to do that (scheduling wise, not know-how...). In the mean time, here is one for ya to gawk at.
Peace,
BH
